What dual plate means for a passenger

A vehicle authorized for both Hong Kong and Mainland China can complete eligible cross border routes under the permits and conditions attached to that vehicle. For the passenger, the main benefit is continuity. People and luggage may remain together instead of arranging an unrelated car on each side.

Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen

Send the flight number, arrival terminal, final Shenzhen address, passenger nationalities and luggage count. The route depends on the destination district, current crossing arrangements and the vehicle’s permits. Immigration and customs procedures remain compulsory.

Families should state child ages and stroller size. Business travelers going directly to Futian, Nanshan, Qianhai or another district should provide the building name in Chinese so the Mainland side of the journey is planned correctly.

Hong Kong to Guangzhou or Macau

A direct private vehicle can be valuable for a family, executive team or travelers with substantial luggage. It may not be the fastest option for every central city journey. Rail can be efficient when both hotels are close to the stations and the group can manage fixed departures.

Macau uses its own entry rules and approved transport arrangements. The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge supports several official transport modes, but a private vehicle must be licensed for the planned movement. Never assume that a car approved for Shenzhen can automatically continue to Macau.

Documents and border procedure

Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China have separate entry requirements. A traveler admitted to one jurisdiction may still require a visa or other permission for another. Check every passport, including children, with the relevant authorities.

Keep passports and arrival records in hand luggage. The chauffeur cannot decide admission and cannot bypass immigration, customs or security. Queue time changes with traffic, passenger volume and authority procedures.
