Shinan District is practical for a first visit because it connects old city sights, Badaguan, May Fourth Square and the waterfront. Hotels farther east can suit business appointments or a quieter modern setting. West coast properties may be attractive but add significant travel if most sightseeing remains in the historic center.
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is outside the central visitor areas. Send the full flight details and hotel address so the airport transfer is not confused with a shorter city pickup.
Day one: the old city on foot
Begin near Zhanqiao and move into the old streets while the day is cool. Choose a route through Zhongshan Road, historic religious architecture, former residences or Signal Hill according to walking comfort. The slopes create excellent views and tired legs, so do not judge distance only by the map.
Use the vehicle to meet you after the walking section rather than stopping at every corner. Spend the late afternoon at a museum, cafe or quiet waterfront point. Dinner is a good time to try local seafood, but ask for clear pricing and explain allergies before ordering.
Day two: Badaguan and the eastern waterfront
Walk through Badaguan in the morning when its leafy streets and varied architecture are easier to appreciate. Continue toward the coast, then use the car for a longer movement to May Fourth Square, the Olympic Sailing Center or a chosen beach.
Swimming conditions, beach access and water quality can vary. Follow current local advice and lifeguard instructions. A coastal walk, sailing experience or cafe afternoon may be a better choice when the sea is rough.
Day three: give Laoshan the full day
Laoshan is not one single gate. Its scenic areas and routes have different access, walking and transport needs. Choose the route before leaving the hotel, check current ticket arrangements and take weather seriously. A guide helps connect the mountain, temples, villages and tea culture without treating the day as only a viewpoint run.
Leave enough time for the return. Summer and weekend traffic can affect the coast road, and a fixed early dinner in central Qingdao may create unnecessary pressure.

Spend more time with the old city, former residences and museum interiors. Use a guide who can separate real history from visual resemblance.
Family coast
Choose one beach, shorter walks and an indoor backup. Keep towels, spare clothes and snacks in a roomy vehicle.

Build around a market visit and reserved meals without turning every hour into eating. State seafood allergies and dietary restrictions clearly.

Add a factory, port or meeting day as a separate service. Send the exact district and contact because Qingdao's industrial areas are widely spread.
